I'm between two sizes, which one should I choose?

Always the larger one. The rigidity comes from the 7 mm material, not from compression: a knee sleeve that is too tight will be impossible to remove, will act as a tourniquet, and won't offer any additional benefit. Measure the circumference of your knee and use the calculator at the top of the page. If your calf is significantly larger than your knee, by 1 to 2 cm, go up another size.

Rigid or flexible, what's the difference?

Two products for two uses. A flexible knee sleeve warms the joint and is worn for volume training. A completely rigid 7 mm sleeve is a strength training accessory: it supports the load instead of merely accompanying it, and that's what helps you lift more weight. Altius only makes rigid sleeves. If you're looking for comfort during long, light sets, this isn't the product for you.

Can I use them in competition?

Yes. Except for licensed competitions.

Do they stretch out over time?

The rigidity comes from the thickness of the neoprene, not from a stretched elastic. There's nothing that loosens session after session. The seams are reinforced, and everything is covered for one year against manufacturing defects: a seam that comes undone, neoprene that delaminates, we replace it.

How do I care for them?

Rinse with cold water after intense sessions, lay flat to dry in the open air, away from a heat source. Never machine wash, never tumble dry, never direct sunlight: these will cook the neoprene and cause it to lose its shape.

What if I choose the wrong size?

You have 30 days after receipt to return them to us. This includes size errors; that's exactly why the deadline exists. The item must be returned as new, in its original packaging.
